The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
